PSYCHOTHERAPY & EMDR (intern)

No two paths toward healing are the same and I strive to truly meet each client where they are with deep listening, care, and presence. My practice is strengths-based, person-centered, and collaborative. My therapeutic orientation is deeply rooted in Somatic (body-oriented) and Contemplative (meditative) psychotherapeutic approaches, incorporating both Eastern and Western psychological approaches. I utilize EMDR and EMDR intensives for those suffering from deep mental and physical traumas. I value holding an open and safe space with a deep awareness that clients come from many intersecting identities and intersecting systems that can influence the healing process.

EMDR

Somatic Psychotherapy

Can also be called body psychotherapy, it is a treatment approach that addresses the physical effects of deep trauma, anxiety, and other psychological issues using body to mind approaches. Learn more here.

Contemplative Psychotherapy

A type of therapy that employs meditation and compassion to address a range of mental health challenges by accessing fundamental and natural wisdom. Learn more here.

Trauma-Informed/Oriented

Understanding the personal and societal implications of trauma based on an individuals’ intersecting identities and unique lived experiences.

polyvagal theory

A treatment theory that focuses on helping clients create balance and harmony within their nervous systems. It suggests that our nervous system determines how safe we feel in life and in social interactions.

AcT - ACCEPTANCE & Commitment Therapy

An in-depth mindfulness-based therapy that helps clients build psychological flexibility, self-acceptance, and present moment awareness.
